Reps & Peaks

Privacy policy

Your movement powers the game. This policy explains what the app processes, what stays on your device, and the choices you control.

Effective September 23, 2026 · Applies to the iPhone app and its optional Apple Watch companion.

At a glance

Reps & Peaks keeps camera frames, movement analysis, age, height, sex, body weight, calibration, and Apple Health values on-device. Optional accounts use Supabase for login and game-progress backups. You can play without an account. The app has no advertising, tracking, or third-party analytics SDKs.

This policy is provided by the developer of Reps & Peaks. The app processes information to detect game reps, save your adventure, and, if you choose, display Apple Watch workout effort. Information you voluntarily send through support or Apple’s TestFlight service is handled separately, as explained below.

Camera & movement detection

With your permission, the app uses the iPhone camera to detect exercise movement. Depending on your device and setup, processing may include body-pose points, face landmarks, and depth measurements. These are used to measure movement and count reps, not to identify you or create a face-recognition profile.

Analysis happens on the device. Camera frames and raw depth images are processed transiently; video is not recorded, saved, or uploaded. Temporary movement features are used during detection. Your saved calibration contains movement ranges and setup preferences, not photos or video.

You can deny or revoke camera permission in iPhone Settings. Camera-based rep detection requires camera access. You can manage your saved progress and account without granting camera access.

What the app saves locally

The app stores information in its local device storage so you can continue your adventure:

  • Profile names you enter, exercise calibrations, selected profile, and camera-placement preferences.
  • Rep totals, completed routes, scores, stars, run dates and durations, records, activity history, achievements, coins, and game unlocks.
  • App preferences, such as demo mode, and your selected character and equipment.
  • Optional age, height, sex, and body weight, used for resting-metabolism and workout-energy estimates, plus completed-run energy estimates and resting baselines.
  • Optional workout effort summaries, including average and peak heart rate and active energy, when available from Apple Watch.

Body-profile fields are optional, can be edited or removed, and do not affect scoring. No birthday is stored. Calorie estimates are estimates, not medical measurements. If you create an account, Supabase processes your email address and authentication credentials for login. When you choose Back up progress, the app sends your account ID and game save to the developer’s Supabase project. Saves include levels, records, rep totals, coins, gear, achievements, and selected character. They exclude age, height, sex, body weight, resting-metabolism estimates, calorie estimates, heart rate, workout history, and calibration. Backups and restores are manual and replace the previous save rather than merging it. Supabase may process technical request information to operate and secure the service. See Supabase’s privacy policy. The app stores local player saves, body profiles, workout history, and calibration in protected files marked as excluded from device backups. App preferences may still be backed up. To move game progress to another device, use the optional manual cloud backup; it excludes the health and calibration information listed above.

Optional Apple Watch & Apple Health

If you enable workout heart rate and grant Apple Health permissions, the Watch companion reads heart rate and active energy during a workout and writes workouts and active energy to Apple Health. It sends live effort updates to the paired iPhone using Apple’s workout-session mirroring, so the app can display workout feedback and a recap.

Reps & Peaks saves summary effort values locally with the completed expedition. This information does not affect rep validation, score, stars, or rewards. Health data is not sold, used for advertising, or shared with data brokers. The app does not transmit it to the developer.

You can turn off Apple Watch heart rate in the app’s Settings and change permissions in Apple Health. Apple manages Health storage, synchronization, and backups under your device settings and Apple’s privacy policy.

Data sharing, support & TestFlight

The app does not sell or rent personal information and has no third-party advertising or analytics services. Its optional Apple Health integration uses Apple’s services and your authorization.

If you test through TestFlight, Apple may provide the developer with testing information, crash reports, and feedback under the TestFlight terms and privacy information. This may include identifiers or contact information associated with your invitation, device and app details, usage or crash information, and comments or screenshots you submit. This is separate from the app’s on-device camera and workout processing.

Information you voluntarily send to the developer is used to answer your request, investigate bugs, and improve the app. Avoid including sensitive health details or photos of other people. Support information is kept only as long as needed to resolve the request and related issues, or to meet applicable legal obligations. You may request deletion through the contact method below; Apple controls copies retained in its services.

Retention, deletion & your choices

  • Camera data: frames and raw depth images are not saved; processing is transient.
  • Game data: guest and account progress and calibration remain locally until you reset or remove them. Signed-in players have separate local saves. In the app, open Settings → Data on this device → Reset local player progress and confirm. This removes the active player’s local game history, records, rewards, body profile, and calibrations, and creates an empty default profile. It does not remove the cloud backup. Some app preferences remain.
  • Body profile: edit or remove age, height, weight, and sex using Settings → Workout preferences → Body profile & resting metabolism. Removing the profile keeps historical workout estimates; resetting local player progress also removes that history.
  • Apple Health: resetting the game or deleting the app does not delete workouts already saved in Apple Health. Manage or delete those records and revoke access in Apple Health.
  • Device backups: this version excludes local player saves, body profiles, workout history, and calibration from new device backups. Backups made with earlier versions may still contain those values; updating, resetting, or deleting the app does not erase older backups. Manage older backups using Apple’s device and account controls. Restoring an older backup may restore previously saved data.
  • Support and beta feedback: contact the developer to request access, correction, or deletion of information you provided. The developer cannot access or erase data stored only on your device.

Accounts are optional. To permanently delete an account and its cloud save, open Settings → Account & cloud saves → Manage account → Delete account and confirm. This also removes that account’s local data on the current device. Guest saves and offline copies on other devices are not erased. Cloud saves remain until replaced or deleted with the account; provider backups and security logs may remain according to the provider’s retention practices. Contact support if you need help with account deletion, including a parent or guardian requesting deletion of a child’s account.
